All our servers at HostFlorida feature Redhat 7.3 Linux operating system, Intel Pentium IV at 2.00Ghz processor, 1536MB memory, 120GB hard drive (with 8MB cache), and a weekly Veritas tape backup system.

Here at Host Florida we know how important support is to our customers, both the experienced and inexperienced alike. That is why we pride ourselves on our 24/7 support system.

Our main avenue of support is through our Joint Support Forum. This forum is unique in its' make up and scope. The Joint Support Forum is comprised of a group of hosting companies and professionals worldwide (Host Florida is a founding member and part of the admin team), who have pooled together to offer their clients the benefit of their combined knowledge and expertise. All the participating companies employ similar software and set-ups, so they are familiar with any issue you might have.

Located in the USA, UK and Australia the leading members of this forum are always there to serve you, no matter what time of day!

There is also a 'private' area of the forum , just for Host Florida clients., where you can address host-specific issues.

We also offer Email support and 'live' onlne one on one support through our 'HF Chat client'.

• Connection Speeds
  Three main pipe providers, all with 8 OC48's connections ( 24 x OC48 ) Lightning Fast!
• Daily tape backup
  Every server is now backed up to tape medium every day. Every month a master tape is taken off site for additional protection. As well as being able to recover an entire server in the unlikely event that everything goes wrong, we can also recover data from a certain account without changing other accounts on that server.
• Outgoing SMTP Limits
  Scripts that send email as the server user "nobody" are not allowed on our servers and the our systems manages this. This doesn't affect normal day to day customers, but makes our network unfriendly to spammers. This will greatly reduce spam and abuse from our network.
• SMTP Bandwidth
  Outgoing emails are now included in the bandwidth of an account. This is also a great way of limiting emails from people sending very large email lists / potential spam etc. This is very handy for us to load balance legit outgoing email and to stop spam.
  
• Disk Space Warnings
  Our systems will email the end user when they reach set levels of disk space, for example if a customer hits 80% of their disk space allowance, so long as they have added their contact email address in their control panel (CPanel) they will receive an email informing them of this limit. The user does not have to do anything at this point, but this new feature means that end users are kept better informed.
• Mailbox Quota Warnings
  Similar to disk space warnings, users will now receive a warning when one of their mailboxes are about to exceed their quota.
  
• Addon scripts.
  We have added a new cart system osCommerce, in additional to the previous 2 carts and the forum software InvisionBoard can automatically be installed and uninstalled via CPanel.
  
• Backend systems
  Our backend server systems have also been improved to allow us to filter and stop abuse of the network much faster than ever before.
  
• Network abuse / attacks
  The software firewalls on every server have also been enhanced with the addition of a hardware firewall per server as well as the "main" network firewall.
